Actions have consequences—always have, always will. This simple truth applies to every part of life. Yet, in today’s America, we’re watching lawlessness explode because too many people believe they can do whatever they want without paying the price. From smash-and-grab robberies to political riots to reckless destruction of property, the real problem isn’t just crime—it’s the complete lack of accountability.
If a nation refuses to enforce consequences, chaos takes over. And that’s exactly what we’re seeing.
Lawlessness Has No Political Side
It shouldn’t matter what political party—if any—a person supports. Lawlessness cannot be justified. Right and wrong should never be up for debate. No cause, no ideology, no frustration justifies harming others, stealing, or destroying property.
The rule of law exists to protect everyone, not just the people we agree with. When laws are enforced selectively—allowing some to break them while punishing others—it breeds resentment, division, and ultimately more chaos. If a nation allows lawlessness to go unchecked, it’s only a matter of time before everyone is affected by it, no matter what side of the political spectrum they’re on. Yes, this requires equal justice as well.
This isn’t about politics—it’s about preserving a functioning society where people are held accountable for their actions.
When There’s No Consequence, Lawlessness Wins
A society that tolerates crime and disorder will get more of it. We see it everywhere:
• Criminals walk free while law-abiding citizens suffer. Businesses are looted, stores shut down, and entire communities become unsafe.
• People excuse bad behavior instead of stopping it. Whether it’s called a “protest,” “economic struggle,” or “social justice,” crime is still crime.
• The rule of law breaks down. If police can’t or won’t enforce the law, and prosecutors let criminals go, what message does that send? It tells people they can do whatever they want with no fear of punishment.
The Law of Consequences: The Only Real Solution
The only way to stop lawlessness is to restore the law of consequences—where every action has a reaction, and bad choices come with a price.
1. Enforce the Law—No More Excuses
Crime should never be tolerated, no matter the reason. If you steal, destroy, or harm others, you should be held accountable. No special treatment. No “understanding the root cause.” Just swift and fair consequences.
2. End the Culture of Excuses
We’ve created a society where bad behavior is excused instead of punished. Life may not have treated a person fairly, but they still have a responsibility to abide by the law (Yes, everyone also deserves equal justice - this must be made clear as well). Actions have consequences, and it’s time people start facing them.
3. Restore Moral and Social Accountability
This starts at home. Parents, schools, churches, and community leaders all play a role in raising people to understand right from wrong. A strong society isn’t built on government enforcement alone—it’s built on people who live by a moral code.
4. Make Crime Costly for Criminals, Not Victims
Right now, criminals get away with their actions while business owners, workers, and families pay the price. That needs to stop. Crime should be costly for the people committing it—not for the ones trying to make an honest living.
What Happens When Lawlessness Comes to Your Door?
I can’t think of anyone I know who would not defend themselves in the case of a break-in. But for anyone breaking into my home, there would be dire consequences. At that point, it’s no longer just about crime—it’s personal. It becomes a life-threatening situation.
Now let’s expand that thought. What would happen if the same consequences existed for any threat to our neighborhood, our city, our state, our nation? Consider this, it happens in reverse order. The lawlessness seen on a national level will come to our neighborhoods unless it’s nipped in the bud.
Lawlessness doesn’t just stay in someone else’s backyard. If we allow it to reign unchecked, it will eventually make its way to our front door. And when that happens, you could very well be alone. No police to respond. No one coming to help. Just you, facing the reality of a society that chose to look the other way.
But it doesn’t have to get to that point.
Together, using a common-sense, nonviolent approach, we can make our voices heard through the systems already in place. We can demand consequences for lawlessness in our neighborhoods and or nation. We don’t need to let chaos spread—we need to put a stop to it now, before it’s too late.
Bottom Line: Consequences Keep Society in Order
Every successful society operates on a system of consequences. The alternative is anarchy. When consequences disappear, lawlessness thrives. And when lawlessness thrives, nations fall.
So America has a choice to make: It starts by not making this political - please! The choice is: Do we restore the law of consequences, or do we continue down the road of destruction? It’s an easy choice. Now take action - good actions equal good consequences!
